My Values
I greatly value pleasure, simplicity, and each and everyone's culture and beliefs. I am confident that pleasure is the key to a long term success. Also, I believe simplicity is a necessity with our modern lifestyle where time is often a very scarce resource. Finally, I believe culinary traditions and cultural beliefs are very comforting especially in time of changes.
My Philosophy
Our best weight is whatever weight we reach when we are living the healthiest life we enjoy living.
I encourage concrete actions to improve health and well-being, no matter the body weight, and without ever forgetting the importance of pleasure and your culture and beliefs. Thereby, we avoid the yo-yo effect of popular diets which is very damaging to our psychological health. We also note the benefits on our mood, energy level and biochemical parameters (blood sugar, blood cholesterol...).
My Approach
Throughout the process, I help my clients improve their life habits by offering science based nutritional information adapted to the client's own needs. I help my clients adopt a new lifestyle according to their values, their culture and their personal history. I put an emphasis on recognizing hunger and fullness signals as well as a healthy body image. I use a technique called motivational interviewing that strongly encourages a health professional patient collaboration where the patient is the focus in order to reinforce his/her motivation and commitment towards a healthier lifestyle.
